Our story
In 2021, Rafael, Nicolas and Parshva founded PolyPerception with the goal of using AI for the greater good and positively impacting the environment. They quickly propelled themselves into the spotlight by joining a renowned startup incubator, signing early customers and announcing a major collaboration with TOMRA Recycling in 2022. Today, PolyPerception is a thriving team with support from the region, funding partners and early customers.

Genesis
Rafael's idea to use AI for environmental impact is made possible thanks to a subsidy from the City of Antwerp and support from Nicolas. Parshva later joins the project with his expertise in household waste recycling.
2021
2021
First AI model and installation
PolyPerception gets accepted into the imec.istart accelerator and successfully develops its first AI model. This is also the year of our first industrial installation in Belgium.

PET validation and partnerships
We expanded our reach with installations in sorting and recycling facilities in Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. We have grown to a team of 7 and are partnering with TOMRA Recycling to further develop and commercialize our technologies.
We want to revolutionize the circular economy with AI and Deep Learning giving decision-makers the power of actionable data while creating a sustainable future for all.
